Director: Professor Chung-Cheng Chang, department of electrical engineering
The missions of the research center are as follows:
In line with the Chang-Hai Project, the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the Chang Gung Medication Foundation are collaboratively working on an industrial-academic project at present.
The research directions include telemedicine, medical imaging, medical information, sensor component systems and bio-chips. As for bioinformation, Professor Tun-Wen Pai from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering also cooperates with the Center of Excellence
The collaborative program is the Maritime Telemedicine Program.
Collaborative Enterprise - ICP Electronics Inc.: In 2008, Dean Chung-Cheng Chang, Chairman Kwong-Kau Tiong, Mr. Mu-Der Jeng, and Mr. Jung-Hua Wang visited ICP Electronics Inc. They discussed issues related to industrial-academic cooperation with President Teddy Kuo, Manager Kai-Cheng Chan, and PM Shih-Hsun Chen in order to proceed the industrial-academic project - Non-intrusive Bio-medical Signal Measurement and Preprocessing
Director: Professor Chung-Cheng Chang, department of electrical engineering
The missions of the research center are as follows:
Participating in the projects of the regional industrial-academic center: The major job includes the research of automatic marine aquaculture platform technology. It also cooperates with enterprises in Hengchun currently.
Participating in maritime energy projects: It currently cooperates with the Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan, the College of Engineering, and the College of Ocean Science and Resource to convert wave and tidal energy into electrical energy. At present, an initial result has been acquired in wireless communications with real-time sensor signals. In line with the development of maritime energy, the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science cooperates with the College of Engineering, and the College of Ocean Science and Resource in the establishment of marine test sites, and it also seeks for the assistance of the Taiwan Ocean Research Institute (TORI). The research directions include the R&D of wireless sensor systems, GPS, information systems and underwater technology.
Director: Professor Jyh-Jier Ho, department of electrical engineering
